Is it Fresh? / Is dit Vars?

YES / JA , Our Product gets made Fresh DAILY and does not stay on the shelf for longer than 48 Hours, (Unless the product is made to have a long shelf life like Biscuits)

Please note on Sundays Our Kitchen is Closed and our staff goes to Church, so no Products are made on Sundays, and Monday Mornings we stock up on our freshly made products.

How many Days in advance can we order a Cake?

We Require 2 working days in advance to make a Basic Birthday cake.

Special Cakes that require a lot of attention, decoration and that are more difficult we ask at least a week in advance to start with preparation.

What if a cake or a tart is in error, or might taste fauly?

Do not panic we all make mistakes, and learn to bake at some point.

Call us Immediately for assistance!

We guarantee our products for 2 days after your purchase. If the Product is faulty Bring it back to us, ((PLEASE DO NOT EAT THE WHOLE CAKE AND ONLY BRING US A SLICE OF FAULTY CAKE))

Once you have brought us the product we follow up on the date of purchase, Taste and test to see what the fault is, as well as go back on CCTV footage every step of the Cakes Baking Process to look for possible mistakes.

This Process ensures we keep our Quality products Tasting Good and our Customers satisfied with only SA's Best!

Do you make Mackeroons?

NO, But we do make Mock - Aroons

They are like Mackeroons and almost look the same, but we make our own version with a white Yogurt chocolate filling.

When is the best time to buy a fresh cake?

We bake almost the whole day, the best time to get the Freshest Milk-tarts, custard cakes and snacks is anytime between 09:00 - 15:00 and then we are fully stocked.

Can we get the Milktart Recipe?

LOL NO. - Our Milktart is One of a kind and with our secret recipe we still make the world's best Milktart for the last 30 Years and is our best seller.

Is the Bakery still Run by the original owners? and are the recipe's still the same as back in the day?

Yes, for the past 30 Years De Vlaming Confectionary has been run by our family business, Emile and Kitty Masson The original Founders and owners of De Vlaming Confectionary had handed over to their 2 Daughters Chantal and Mary-ann who has for the last 13 years followed in their footsteps to ensure to give the best quality of service and keep up with the Latest trends of today for customer satisfaction.

Our recipe's have not changed but have been adjusted because of suppliers changing their contents frequently. so we keep the same taste and originality with still the best and unique tasting products in SA
